Ellen Sophia Seger Ellen was the youngest of the ten children in the Axel Seger family. She attended Merril High School where she was the editor-in-chief of the school newspaper. She excelled in oratory and writing. She finished Normal School at age 16 and taught for two years in a country elementary school. She then entered nurses' training in Minneapolis at Abbott Hospital, graduating with the RN degree. While in nurses' training, she met Wallace Johnson. They were married on September 17, 1934. Ellen was active in Sunday School teaching and in the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She enjoyed writing and publishing stories and poems, and in composing and publishing music. She died May 23, 1991 and is buried at Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis, MN. 80 years, 183 days. Children:
